The driver for the Scanjet on Windows 10 64 bit has been causing me a lot of trouble. I have installed, reinstalled, and done everything I can think of to get it working. Either the driver will have major problems installing or it will just say that the hardware cannot be found. This is getting very frustrating because I have been having a lot of problems with h p drivers recently.
If anyone thinks they have a solution, I would appreciate the feedback. I have even tried running the device software when installing on “compatibility mode” to be compatible with Windows Vista. None of the steps have worked. I know that the Scanjet is connected and read by my computer because when I run the h p Doctor software and do a test scan, the Scanjet responds perfectly fine. This has got to be an issue with driver software.

I tried using the AIO apps and they never detected the scanner. This solution of running the HPZstub. Reinstall the HP Photosmart software that came with the device, and try scanning agin. Well, DUH!! I should have kept reading the original post that said specifically what you said in your follow-up to my post.
