Easy To Understand Microsoft Office Version Comparison
I have a new laptop and desktop but didn’t buy Microsoft Office as part of the computers. I see that I can buy Professional full version new and sealed cheaper than Home and Office on ebay. I know Professional also has access and publisher. To me it seems like a no-brainer but is there a reason I wouldn’t want to pay less and get more with the Publisher suite instead of paying more and getting less with the Home and Office suite. I know in box stores it is the reverse – Professional is more expensive than Home and Office.
You have to be really careful with purchases online. There was a question recently where a guy bought a Pro retail box that turned out to be counterfit. But it took a lot of effort to confirm that it was counterfit. He is now in the process of returning it. Sometimes they sell you licenses to versions that are not supposed to be resold. So it might work today, but 6 months or a year down the line when MS finally figures out that the license was improperly sold and deactivates your installation.
You are out of luck. If the price is too good to be true, it IS too good to be true. Especially for You can realistically expect to see larger discounts for older versions because they can be legitimate “Old Stock”.
